Triton
Amphibious fish-like humanoids who protect the seas of the Marine Chain from all manner of external and internal threats. Getting along with triton is easily done unless you're a sahuagin or a friend of sahuagin.
Reputation
Triton are widely regarded as fun, friendly beach mascots and when they travel they enjoy the benefits of being thought of as largely harmless. They live throughout the chain and some travel the world, generally being accepted wherever they go as easy pals.
Triton adventures are not uncommon. The general triton attitude is infuriatingly incurious to those with a spark for adventure and many young adult triton leave home within the first year or two after gaining their land legs.

Age
Young triton spend their lives underwater, unable to walk on land for long periods. Around age 15, post-adolescent triton develop firmer bodies that are able to stay on land almost indefinitely, although they tire quickly in the sun.
An average triton can live to be about 200 years old.

Triton Culture
Triton are omnivorous, but prefer protein. Their systems are fully capable of dealing with raw meat and entrails and they would have no problem pulling a fish out of the water and eating it like one might pick an apple off a tree.
