The Frothing Edge
A book of poetry written between 75 and 65BNE and first published in 57BNE by E. Eisensmyl. The poems often use evocative language about nature and seem to express a sense of longing. Some consider the natural imagery to be a metaphor for lust.

E. Eisensmyl wrote these poems over a period between 75 and 65BNE. She attempted to get them published as a book, but met with no takers initially.
In 57BNE, Eisensmyl published a number of copies using her own money, and distributed them at sundries shops around Ottombad. The initial run sold slowly in modern terms, but Eisensmyl recovered her investment and eventually turned a modest profit.
In the time between 57BNE and 20BNE, the book gained a reputation of being secretly erotic and by 20BNE the book was both banned in many states and frequently bootlegged. During this time many other authors produced similar works, which are now considered e-style poetry.

This was among the first books put into mass production when the printing press was put into mainstream use in 88NE. Many copies exist, but the first mass run is somewhat valued among collectors.
The original version was published by traditional means and in very limited quantities in 57BNE. These are effectively priceless, and in 107NE, 23 copies remain.
