Allento (ɽr!o)
Allento City was a popular stop among travellers. Its warm and humid climate supports dense jungle and hot weather creatures. Most of the city is built into the ocean floor, but a portion of it is built up on shore, mostly out of stone that was excavated in building the underwater parts of town.
Being largely underwater, most of the city is best suited for triton. Even so, there were substantial populations of humans and elves on the surface.
Allento had a thriving tourism trade and was known worldwide as the friendliest stop on the mercantile journey.

Founding and History
Allento City was founded in 1721BNE by previously nomadic triton who banded together to fortify against growing opposition undersea from sahuagin and on land from human and gnome expansion. Allento's spires of stone are specifically designed for amphibious life, giving them a home that is challenging to most others; even among other amphibious creatures, few are able to live equally easily above the surface or below.

In 106NE, a clash between Corvenious and Heron Sunstar resulted in the death of everyone present, including Corvenious and Sunstar.
Demographics
Allento City was more diverse than the rest of the greater Allento area, with modern extension on land the city itself provides a variety of accommodations suitable to most types of people. Triton were overwhelmingly the most common, but elves and humans were fairly common as well.
Gnomes, kobolds, sahuagin, and naga were unusual here and would face significant difficulties being accepted. Salamanders, yuan-ti, dwarves and centaurs were rare as well but aren't especially unwanted.
